It’s not the Night Before Christmas, not quite yet. But all through the house; people, including myself, are stirring up Visions of Sugar Plums in their heads.

Here’s my problem, all these years, I really did not know what Sugar Plums were until I decided to finally do some research for THIS article. I decided that it was time to garner a clearer understanding of what sugar plums were in an effort to clearly ”visualize” it in my head.
Or, better yet, pull out your Lose Weight Naturally download (hint: one of the valuable downloads in the suite of hypnosis programs that you get as part of The Supermind Evolution System).
Visualizing sugarplums may seem trivial to you but the key to any successful manifestation is the clarity in which you can visualize it in your minds eye. So, to keep my mind in shape and for fun, I conduct visualization exercises like this one on myself.
My Motto (one of them)
If you can’t entertain yourself.
How can you entertain others?
My Sugar Plum Journey
For quite awhile, I thought Sugar Plums were were like sugared Peaches (not that I have ever seen a sugared peach, mind you). You would also be correct if you have surmised that it was awhile before I even realized that, prunes were actually once Plums. You can imagine my dismay when I found that raisins were really Grapes, but that’s another story. And…I digress.
We had a peach tree at my childhood home, resembling the one below but more of a tropical variety.

Then, as I went about conducting research for this article, I came across a photo of a Plum Tree.
Plum Tree
I could not understand why anyone would want to apply sugar to an already sweet and juicy plum unless they were the shrivelled, salty ones that I was familiar as a child from the local “cracked seed shop.” But why would someone want to sugar a plum that they had previously salted?
I got to thinking…
Was this a conspiracy?
Was I the only one who didn’t know what Sugar Plums were?
I began an informal inquiry to those stirring about, around me. I posed the question:
What are Sugar Plums?
- Quite a few of them did not know.
- One person said that it was the common name given to plums since the fruit was so sweet.
- Of course, others said that they were Plums with sugar on them.
- But one worldy individual informed me that it was a ball of mixed nuts and fruits (including, dried plums), rolled in sugar and eaten as a candy during Christmas.
The clouds parted and it all became clear to me. I knew that once I could get my hands on one of these confections, I could finally, clearly, visualize them dancing in my head.
Stay tuned, I will be publishing my personal Sugar Plum Recipe for you in a few days, so you too can visualize Hawaiian-Style Sugarplums dancing about in your head. Sign up for the Mind Visualization Newsletter so you don’t miss it.
